A: The website migration service provided by Connect Tech Hosting is absolutely free of charge and consists of transferring all your web files, databases and e–mails from your current web hosting provider to your brand new hosting account with us. We’ll also update all the configuration settings required for your web sites to be fully functional on our advanced cloud hosting platform.Our technicians are completely capable of moving any type of site. With years of work experience in the industry, they’re well–versed in the specificities of our web hosting platform, our Control Panel and all other widely used Control Panels. For them, moving a custom application with a lot of custom libraries is as easy as moving a plain WordPress–based weblog.

A: While we cannot give you a precise ETA, since there are many variables, among them the size of the web files and databases, the location of the present host’s server, the complexity of your website and the current workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we’ll give our best to transfer your website within 48 hours, and in some cases – within 24 hours (in case the website content is not large).

A: We don’t collect any personal data. We will need, though, the login info for your present web hosting account and the name of the web site that you need to transfer.

A: While we migrate your site, it will be available both in your web hosting account with us and in your account with your former web hosting provider. After the transfer is done, we will ensure that everything is functioning correctly and that the integrity of your content is not compromised prior to telling you that the migration is completed. After that, we’ll explain to you how to transfer the domain name over to your web hosting account with us and how to edit the DNS resource records.

A: No. Aside from your login details for the Control Panel, we do not need anything. We will never get in touch with your hosting provider. They won’t know anything about the transfer either.

A: Yup. We support all traditional Linux–based hosting platforms. We don’t support Windows–driven hosting platforms, because we do not provide Windows hosting services ourselves.Furthermore, we don’t support proprietary web site building and management interfaces like Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
