A catch-all feature that is enabled for a specific email mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. To put it differently, if you disable an email address and someone still sends an email to it, or to any misspelled email address under the exact same domain name, you’ll receive the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be vital in case you run a company, for example. Since you may begin receiving unsolicited messages, you can use the catch-all functionality with anti-spam filters so as to get only real messages in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for a catch-all mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting

You’ll be able to set up a catch-all mailbox without effort if you’ve got a web hosting plan with our company. The Email Manager tool in our custom-created Hepsia hosting Control Panel is fully featured, yet incredibly simple to work with, and it will enable you to enable various options, including the catch-all one, with no more than a couple of clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you’ve got will be shown alphabetically in this section and on the right side of each one of them you will notice a small-size "Catch-all" symbol. Clicking on it once will activate the feature, clicking it again will deactivate it. As you can have just one such mailbox per domain, our system will warn you if you already have a different mailbox with this feature activated or if you have active email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all address can be configured with a couple of mouse clicks if you’ve got a semi-dedicated plan with us. The hosting account will be managed via our custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to set up email addresses under any domain hosted there. To activate the catch-all option for a particular mailbox, you will need to click on the logo with the same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each email address. Disabling the feature can be done in the same way and will not require more than a click either. In case the catch-all option has already been enabled for a given domain, you’ll receive a warning alert. The same is valid if the mailbox that you want to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never alter or deactivate any feature automatically.
